Can I Ban a Customer from Signing Up or Purchasing in Recurly?

Unfortunately, Recurly does not currently offer any support for banning sign-ups or purchases directly on our end.

In these cases, we recommend implementing one of the following methods on your own:

• Ban by IP Address: We recommend tracking customer IP addresses on your backend and then banning the IP address from accessing your site. This is an effective way to prevent a specific user or group of users from making new purchases.

• Block Billing Information: If you see a specific set of billing information being used and you would like to refuse service, you can check with your payment gateway. Most gateways can block any transactions processed for a specific customer or a particular set of billing information.
