Advanced Analytics allows you to export subscription data and historical events as CSV files—so you can run custom reports, build dashboards, or conduct deep-dive analysis.
Before you begin

Exports can be large. Use date filters where available to limit file size.
What is Advanced Analytics?
Advanced Analytics includes two types of downloadable reports in the Recurly Commerce admin: General (current-state snapshots) and Historical (event-based tracking over time).

How to access exports

In the Recurly Commerce app, go to the Settings tab

Scroll to the Reports Available for Export section

Select the reports you want to download

Click Download CSV
Report types
General Reports (current state)

All subscription contracts – One row per contract ID with subscriber info, next order date, billing/delivery cadences, and more

Subscription contracts product breakdown – One row per product line in each contract, useful for SKU-level analysis
Historical Reports (event history)

Orders (Historical) – One row per past order with pricing, shipping, and tax included

Subscription Contract Activity – High-level contract events like creation or cancellation

Subscription Contract Detailed Activity – Granular events like skips, swaps, and pauses (available for activity after April 29, 2022)

Cancellation Survey (Historical) – Logs subscriber-selected cancellation reasons

Retention Strategy Results (Historical) – Records of responses to retention offers like discounts or incentives

Billing Failures (Historical) – Failed payments with error messages and retry data
Historical exports may contain large datasets. Filter by date where possible to manage file size.
