How do I fulfill a Recurly Commerce subscription in Shopify?

You can fulfill subscription renewals directly in Shopify with no extra setup—just follow your normal order flow.

Before you begin

• All fulfillment must be done in Shopify

• You’ll need access to the Orders tab in your Shopify admin

• Recurly Commerce does not handle shipping or packing

What does fulfillment mean?

Fulfilling a subscription means processing and shipping each renewal order using Shopify’s built-in tools. Once a subscriber is charged through Shopify Payments, the order appears in your Shopify admin for fulfillment.

• Manage both one-time and subscription orders in the same place

• Keep customers informed using Shopify’s tracking and notifications

• No additional setup or apps required

How to fulfill a subscription order

1. Log into your Shopify admin

2. Go to the Orders tab

3. Locate the subscription order or search by customer name

4. Click Fulfill item to process and ship the order

Once fulfilled, tracking details and status updates are handled through Shopify as usual.
