To calculate the total number of active subscribers for a specific month, you can use the Subscriptions export and a series of filters.
Here are the steps to follow:
-
Download the Subscriptions Export:
-
Download the Subscriptions export for "All" statuses and a Time Range of "All Time."
-
-
Filter by Activation Date:
-
In the downloaded file, go to the
activated_atcolumn and remove all subscriptions that were activated after the last day of the month you are analyzing.
-
-
Filter by Expiration Date:
-
Next, go to the
expired_atcolumn and remove all subscriptions that were expired before the last day of the month you are analyzing.
-
-
Remove Duplicate Subscribers:
-
Lastly, check the
account_codecolumn for duplicates. Since "Active Subscribers" counts individual subscribers and not individual subscriptions, you should remove the second subscription for any duplicate account codes.
-
The remaining list will represent your total number of active subscribers for that month.
