How Can I Add Shipping Fees to a Purchase?

Passing the cost of shipping physical goods on to your customers is easy in Recurly. The process involves setting up a shipping method in the Recurly Admin Console and then adding the fee via the Recurly API.

1. Set Up a Shipping Method:

   • Navigate to Configuration > Shipping in the Recurly Admin Console.

   • Here, you can set up a shipping method that reflects how you will deliver goods to the customer (e.g., USPS, FedEx, etc.).

2. Add Shipping to a Purchase via API:

   • You can add a shipping fee to a purchase using the Recurly API, specifically version 2.20 or higher.

   • The API includes a field that allows you to add a shipping fee to any number of one-time fees, as well as specify the shipping method you are using.
