Can I Use Test Credit Cards on a Production Recurly Site?

No, test credit cards will only work on a Recurly site that is in sandbox mode. Recurly does not provide or support the use of test cards for production sites.

In production mode, your Recurly site connects directly to your payment gateway's live production environment. This means it is configured to process only live payments using real credit cards.

For any ongoing testing needs, we recommend creating a second Recurly site and keeping it permanently in sandbox mode.
