Why are the current_period_starts_at and current_period_ends_at Dates Populated for Future Subscriptions?

The current_period_starts_at and current_period_ends_at fields in the Recurly Subscriptions object are populated for future subscriptions as an expected part of the system's behavior.

For future subscriptions, the current_period_starts_at field populates with the date the subscription was created (not the activation date). The current_period_ends_at field populates with the date that the subscription is actually set to begin.

We recommend that merchants ignore these fields for future subscriptions, as they will update and show accurate data once the subscription officially activates.
