How do I use the bulk updater in Recurly Commerce? – Recurly

The Bulk Updater tool allows you to make changes across multiple subscription contracts at once—saving time and ensuring consistency.

Who can access it?

This feature is available to merchants on Recurly Commerce Pro and Enterprise plans.

Bulk Updater lets you edit subscription contracts in bulk, so you don’t have to update each subscriber one by one.

Consistency at scale – Apply uniform settings, add-ons, or discounts across all subscribers
Time savings – Eliminate repetitive manual work for your team

Go to the Bulk Updater tab in the Recurly Commerce app
Click Create New Bulk Update
Choose Update Price for any legacy subscriptions
Select the product variants tied to existing subscription contracts
The system will run a query to calculate how many subscriptions will be affected
Optionally, export the document for review before applying changes
Choose whether to:
- Update price per unit individually
- Or apply one price to all selected products
Review the update summary to confirm your changes
Click Make New Bulk to execute the update
The system will immediately apply the changes and display a confirmation
You’ll receive a notification once the bulk update is complete
After completion, view detailed results for full visibility into what was changed
