The Customer Portal is where subscribers manage their subscription contracts. You control what actions they can take and how the portal looks to match your brand.

The Customer Portal feature must be enabled on your Recurly Commerce plan

Changes to subscriber permissions apply immediately after saving
What you can configure
Use the Customer Portal tab in the Recurly Commerce app to manage:
Self-service permissions
You can toggle the following options on or off:

Shoppers can skip
Let subscribers skip their next delivery without canceling—great for travel or breaks in routine. -
Shoppers can change renewal date
Allow customers to reschedule their next charge or shipment. -
Shoppers can change quantity
Let subscribers increase or decrease product quantity. Discounts update automatically. -
Shoppers can change cadence
Enable frequency changes (e.g., every 4 weeks → every 8 weeks) based on plan settings. -
Shoppers can swap products
Allow switching SKUs within the same plan to keep customers engaged. -
Shoppers can pause / unpause
Let customers pause their subscription either indefinitely or for a set number of renewals. -
Shoppers can gift next delivery
Let customers send an upcoming order to someone else instead of themselves.
Portal styling
Still under the Customer Portal tab, you can customize the appearance of the portal:

Colors and borders
Match the UI to your storefront branding. -
Button text and instructions
Make minor edits to labels and copy. For larger copy changes, contact your CSM. -
Live preview
Click Save and set live to publish your updates immediately.
This setup gives you full control over the subscriber experience while keeping your brand consistent.
