Are Trial Ending emails sent out to subscribers on Plans without set trials?

There may be a scenario where you decide to give a customer a free trial for a Plan which does not have a free trial configured. This can be accomplished via the API, for version 2 here and, for version 3 API here. When creating the subscription by adding a future date to the trial_ends_at value. While this action will result in the customer receiving a free trial, the Trial Ending email will not be sent out because these are disabled by default for Plans configured without a free trial. This does not change when you add a trial via the API.
