What if I have several contacts in Xero already before integrating with Recurly? Will those accounts merge?

The accounts which already exist in Xero will not merge with their Recurly counterparts as this will automatically create a Duplicate Name error.

You do have the ability to manually go through each one as we have an option in the Recurly UI that will allow you to link two duplicate accounts together, but that could be a tedious process for if you have a large amount of customers.

Our engineers have the ability to write and run a script to merge duplicate accounts together, but first, you will have to connect Recurly with Xero and generate those Duplicate Name errors. Once that happens, you'll have to contact our support team at support@recurly.com so we can send your case to our engineering team and then they can run that script for you.
